MHS Winter Guard and Drumline earn honors

Mission, Texas- Mission High School (MHS) recently played host for an indoor drumline and winter guard competition. Seventy-two performing groups invaded the Neuhaus Gym. At the end, the MHS Winter Guard continued their strong streak of performance placements, earning a second place in their classification, a first place in design analysis, and two first place results in general effects. The team has not finished outside the top three at any Texas Educational Colorguard Association event in the last two years.

The MHS indoor drumline competed for the first time in five years and earned second place overall in their division. The group also earned a first place in music performance and second place in visual performance.

Both teams compete next at an event on March 9 at Edinburg North

High School.
