Mission CISD has Destination Imagination teams headed to Globals

Mission CISD had four Destination Imagination teams compete in Corpus Christi this past weekend which included two teams from VMHS (The Children of VMHS and 7 Wonders) and two from MCHS (DI Team #1 and DI Team #2). Out of the four groups, two teams have advanced to Globals. The Children of VMHS, and MCHS Team #1 will be competing in Kansas City on May 22 -25, 2019.

 

The Children of VMHS placed 1st in their division and also received Highest Instant Challenge Award. The team members are: Michael Iglesias, Paulina Martinez, Priscilla Gonzalez, Iris Alvarez, Gabriella De La Garza, and Dedrick Lopez. Their team manager is Mabeline Rodriguez.  

 

The MCHS Team #1 placed 2nd in the medical Mystery (technical challenge) University Level, and also received the Highest Instant Challenge Score for their category and level. The team members are: Esteban Lopez, Julian Garcia Hernandez, Jeremy Soto, Stephanie Garcia, Adriana Gonzalez, Carina Martinez, and Jude Rodriguez. Their team manager is Shawna Kennedy.

 

The other two teams that competed in Corpus Christi were VMHS The 7 Wonders and MCHS DI Team #2 but did not advance. They are VMHS The 7 Wonders and MCHS DI Team #2.

 

The 7 Wonders DI team members are Christa Cavazos, Catherine Cavazos, Layla Choate, Cassandra Ozuna, Ryann Ramirez, Benjamin Garcia, and Mariano Garcia. The team manager is Natalie Gomez.

 

The MCHS DI Team #2 members include Melissa Camacho, Joshua Pinon, Elizabeth Villarreal, and Rolando Reyna. Their team manager is Terina Vazquez.
