Kenneth White Jr. High Bands make school history!

Three bands from K. White Jr. High School traveled to La Joya High School to compete at the UIL Region 15 Concert and Sight-Reading Contest recently.  The results from that competition were exceptional and they are extremely proud of their accomplishments.

The Honors Band earned the prestigious Sweepstakes Award for only the second time in school history, under the direction of first year Director of Bands, Ms. Jackeline Tellez.

The Symphonic Band also earned the Sweepstakes Award for the first time in school history, under the direction of Ms. Monica Rios.

The Concert Band earned a Plaque for a First Division rating in Sight-Reading, also for the first time in school history, under the direction of newcomer Ms. Carolina Guerrero.

The Honors Band and the Symphonic Band earned a First Division rating from judges in both the concert and sight-reading portions of the contest.  This is the first time that all three bands from this school leave the contest with an award.
