Mission High School ENCORE Theater brought home three coveted awards from the Annual Hidalgo County High School Theater Palm Awards on Sunday, April 7, 2019. The team had 13 nominations but were able to bring home awards in:
Best Costume Design of a Musical (Shrek the Musical)
Best Sound Design of a Play (The 39 Steps)
Best Technical Crew of a Play (The 39 Steps)
The theater arts community along with City of McAllen-Convention Center and MPAC strive to enhance the awareness and importance of theater arts education. They also wanted to honor the hard work and commitment of the students by recognizing their accomplishments in high school theater.
