The VMHS bands participated at the annual UIL Region XV High School Concert and Sight Reading Evaluation held at the UTRGV Performing Arts Center in Edinburg on April 16 - 18, 2019. The VMHS Symphonic Band, under the direction of Gabriel Molina received a Division 1 superior rating on stage and in Sight Reading to earn a Sweepstakes Award! The VMHS Honors Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Guillermo De La Cruz III received a Division 1 superior rating on stage and in Sight Reading to earn a Sweepstakes award! In fact, they earned straight Division 1 Superior ratings from all 6 judges! Congratulations to all students and directors on their hard work.
