Four Mission CISD schools recognized at ERP Honor Roll Awards Ceremony

Mission Consolidated Independent School District (CISD) had four schools named to the 2018-2019 Honor Roll for their high achievement in student success and were recently recognized at the Educational Results Partnership (ERP) Honor Roll Awards Ceremony. The program, presented by ERP, is part of a national effort to identify higher-performing schools and districts that are improving student outcomes. The Mission CISD schools that were awarded Honor Roll distinction are: Alton Elementary School, Midkiff Elementary School, Salinas Elementary Fine Arts Academy, and Mission Collegiate High school.

“We would like to congratulate these campuses for being recognized as ERP Honor Roll award recipients,” said Dr. Carol G. Perez, superintendent. “At Mission CISD, we continuously strive to increase academic achievement and improve educational outcomes for all our students.”

The Texas Honor Roll was initiated in 2015 in order to identify schools, districts and charter systems that are leading the way in improving educational outcomes as well as college and career readiness among certain student populations. The selection process measures college readiness for high schools as well as Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) schools who have demonstrated superior achievement.

Our nation’s productivity hinges on the future success of our students. Through data and collaboration, we are driving change,” states James Lanich, Ph.D., ERP President and CEO.

The 2018-2019 Honor Roll is developed by ERP, a nonprofit organization that applies data science to help improve student outcomes and career readiness. ERP maintains the nation’s largest database on student achievement and utilizes this data to identify higher-performing schools and districts.

Congratulations to all the 2018-2019 Texas Honor Roll award recipients for your exemplary performance and commitment to student development. Your efforts are raising the bar in education at Mission CISD.
