Veterans Memorial High School Patriot Band competed at the UIL 5A Area G Marching Contest on Saturday, October 26th at Bobby Lackey Stadium in Weslaco, Texas. The Patriot Band competed against 27 other bands from Laredo through Corpus Christi and performed exceedingly well.
For the first time in VMHS history, the Patriot Band earned a spot in the Finals round of the competition, performing among the top 10 bands in attendance. The VMHS Patriot Band performed with passion and exuberance, placing 9th in Finals among some of the best bands in the Area.
The Patriot Band program is immensely proud of its students, band boosters, parents, fans, administration and community for their remarkable support this season. The VMHS Patriot Band has one more performance of their show "El Dia De Los Muertos" at the Bands of America Super Regionals Competition in San Antonio on Saturday, November 2nd at 8:45 a.m.
