The Veterans Memorial High School Band had many students audition for the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) Region XV All-Region Band this past Saturday, November 16th at Edinburg High School. They competed against countless students from Roma all the way to Alamo. This year, 17 band students from VMHS earned seats in the TMEA Region XV All-Region Bands, breaking a campus record!

The band members are; Razziel Ayala, Percussion, Marco Antonio, Euphonium, Julio Villarreal, Trumpet, Kelly Lam, Eb Clarinet, Diego Barbosa, Bb Clarinet, Daniel Martinez, Bb Clarinet, Alexa Beas, Bb Clarinet, Rodrigo Flores, Trombone, Laura Barba, Flute, Damian Gonzalez, Euphonium, Paul W. Following this audition, select students auditioned again for a chance to perform at the highly competitive TMEA Area G Audition in January, where students compete for a coveted seat in the TMEA All-State Bands, the highest honor a high school musician can achieve. 6 VMHS Band students made the cut for this auspicious chance to audition for the TMEA 5A All-State Band including:

Congratulations to the VMHS Band students, staff, parents, and administration for their remarkable support of our students and their musical pursuits! Good luck to the 6 students competing at Area in January!
