Mission High School set a new school record by qualifying 12 students to the TMEA Region 15 Band on Saturday, November 16th. MHS junior, Carlos Gerena Alba, earned first chair in the Oboe section. MHS also earned 4 alternate positions at the same contest. Of these 12 students, 10 students advanced to pre-area on November 19th. The following students have advanced to the TMEA Area G audition at Texas A&M - Corpus Christi in January for a chance to earn a place in the All-State Band: Carlos Gerena Alba, Esteban Peña, Juan Carrillo, and Jose Hernandez. All of these accolades are exceptional and we are so very proud of our students.
