Mission, Texas- Three Mission High School students have qualified for the state Texas High School Women's Powerlifting Association meet in Waco. The trio will compete on March 21 at the Extraco Events Center.
Aleena Chavez qualified for state with a total of 775 pounds. Erika Guerrero placed second at the Regional Meet, squatting a regional record of 560 pounds. Guerrero was also recognized as the most outstanding in the upper division at regionals. KC Aguilera qualified for the state meet with a total of 700 pounds.
