Veterans Memorial High School students participated in the Skills USA Texas District 13 competition hosted at Texas State Technical College in February. The Applied Engineering Contest team wins gold and members include; Marisa Leal, Angel Rios, and Mia Sanchez.
The team was able to plan, design, document, construct, and present a solution to the engineering problem unveiled to the team during competition. Team members have been involved in robotics since their freshman year while taking STEM courses. They are currently enrolled in the STEM Practicum Class and attending South Texas College Dual mechatronics courses.
