A former MHS graduate rolls out a floral creation that goes viral

2008 Mission High School graduate, David Juarez, had a creative idea that started out as something fun. What he didn’t expect was the overwhelming interest it would receive from customers.  Juarez is the co-owner of Blossom Events and Florist in Truman, Arkansas and he created the toilet paper bouquet that was recently featured on Good Morning America.

“We are big couponers and we had a closet full of toilet paper from purchases made way before the pandemic started,” states Juarez. “This is when we decided to create the toilet paper bouquet. We never thought about making money off of this new trend but it just took off.”

They have sold 20 of the bouquets locally so far and had over 800 nationwide calls requesting this new creation but unfortunately they could not ship it due to the items used to assemble it. They also had one customer that drove 5 hours to pick up a bouquet and another lady that purchased one bouquet with minor modifications to ship to Las Vegas.  Photos of the bouquet went viral on social media. This is when Good Morning America took notice and decided to feature them on their show.

In the two short years they have been open, their business has been booming and they have even been featured in the Arkansas Bride Magazine for creating balloon ceilings that had never been used before at events. Most local florists contract five to six events a year and their business has been contracting two to three events a week.

Juarez is very appreciative of his family, friends, and especially the Class of 2008 for always being so supportive of his business. He can’t wait for when he will be able to open his business again so that he can create new and innovative arrangements for his customers.
