Dear Mission CISD Family,
In spite of today’s challenges, Mission CISD is dedicated to serving and educating our students in a safe and healthy learning environment. The constantly changing rules and directives from state and local officials have made any planning for the 2020-2021 school a challenge.
The pdf links below are for our instructional and general operational plan for the coming school year. Please take some time to familiarize yourself with what is included. This will also be available on the district web site, www.mcisd.net and will be updated as needed based upon the progression of the pandemic and governmental directives.
We know there will be many more questions regarding individual instructional plans, and campus specific operations, etc. Those plans will be shared by the schools, teachers, and administrators with you at a later date.
For now, the state is requiring we start the school year. We are moving forward with starting instruction for all students through remote instruction with students at home on September 8, 2020. In-person instruction may become an option for parents starting September 28 for those who would like to send their children to school, at that time. We are working hard to have devices for students who need them and will have devices for all students as soon as possible.
These are unsettling times and the dedicated teachers and staff of the district are working hard to meet the needs of all our students as best as possible with everyone’s health and safety in mind. We appreciate your patience as we continue to move forward and we will continue to update you along the way.
In your service
Dr. Carol G. Perez
