Dear Mission CISD Parent/Guardian,
As we all continue to prepare for the upcoming school year, your Mission CISD family is constantly looking for ways the district may be able to provide assistance during these challenging times. We know that the last few weeks have been very trying for all of us in dealing with the COVID-19 Pandemic and Hurricane Hanna.
Therefore, we are pleased to let you know that Mission CISD will be able to provide each enrolled student with their basic school supplies needed for this school year! This will include everything needed from the grade level school supply lists, with the exception of backpacks. We are grateful for the local support and funding sources that are making this extra effort possible this year. Your school will let you know at a later date when the school supplies will be distributed.
For our elementary and junior high students this year, the usual school uniforms will be optional, for the 2020-2021 school year. However, all other aspects of the student dress code will be enforced for any students who come to school for in-person instruction when that option becomes available.
Rules and guidelines for schools are constantly shifting and we are adjusting our plans as quickly as possible in response. We greatly appreciate everyone’s patience and support as we work through these challenging times together.
