MHS Lady Eagles Volleyball wins 31-6A District Championship

The Mission High School Lady Eagles win the District Championship title and are now on their way to the Bi-District game. When the Lady Eagles took the court against Edinburg North on November 7th with both teams having a 9 and 2 record little did they know they would be accomplishing a feat that had not been reached in the last 29 years by winning the title.

Although we had been quarantined due to COVID since March our virtual workout never came to an end. Our volleyball, basketball and softball programs had been working out virtually through the quarantine and summer break,” states Coach Edna Clemons.” I strongly feel this was a major contributor to our success. Our future looks bright, we will build teams and continue a winning tradition that will lead us to more district titles.”

The Bi-District game will be played later this week. The Lady Eagles will play the 4th place team from 32-6A.  There is a tie-breaker game tonight at Harlingen South against Brownsville Hanna and the Lady Eagles will play the winner of that game.
