Dear Mission CISD Parent/Guardian,
As you may have heard, current weather forecasts indicate the possibility of conditions that may impact our operations on Monday morning. First and foremost, please remember to plan for the safety of your own family. Protect people, pets, pipes, and plants.
District officials will continue to monitor forecasts through the weekend and will provide any notices for changes in schedules based upon forecasts and conditions Sunday night and into the very early hours of Monday morning.
We are asking students who have been attending in-person remote instruction to take home books, devices, hotspots, etc. on Friday. Teachers will also be providing work for Monday so that students can still engage in learning at home even if there are interruptions in internet, etc.
Should we need to cancel classes or make any changes to our schedules for Monday, we will use SchoolMessenger for making phone calls and sending emails to all parents. We will also share any changes and updates on our district website, www.mcisd.net, and our district Facebook page and Twitter account.
At this time, we are hoping the weather will not result in issues or changes. Please remember, to be careful using space heaters and other items that can be fire hazards if used near anything flammable. Also avoid using heat sources that produce fumes or carbon dioxide as those can be hazardous as well.
