Midkiff Elementary continues to be a part of the Texas Book Festival Reading Rock Stars and students had two authors and an illustrator drop by for a virtual visit. David Bowles the author of Tales of the Feathered Serpent, Rebecca Gomez the author of Federico and the Wolf, and Elisa Chavarri the illustrator of that same book.
Students participated in a variety of activities using elements from the books. Students created drawings, used compare and contrast writing, others provided sequencing, some even wrote a new ending to the book. In the end, students had a blast visiting and listening to the authors and illustrator.
