Mission CISD Information Systems recognized with the Tyler Excellence Award

Mission, Texas- Mission Consolidated Independent School District (CISD) Information Systems department has been recognized for their efforts during the pandemic and the team is the recipient of the Tyler Excellence Award. This award is presented to organizations that use any of the Tyler products and demonstrate Innovation, Relevance, Organizational Efficiency and Productivity, and Business Value. This year they also included the category of COVID-19 Response.

The district’s Information Systems department submitted an entry for the use of Tyler’s eForms and eSurveys as a response to the COVID-19 challenges to facilitate communication with parents and collect feedback information for decision making. The Information Systems department adapted the eForms module to assist our Executive Leadership Team in collecting information for the following purposes:

  • Preference of instructional delivery
  • Student access to instructional devices and Internet access
  • Student participation in Athletics

The eForms/eSurveys solution helped Mission CISD evaluate the district’s ability to conduct virtual instruction and determine how many households had internet access and computers. This allowed our executive leadership team to make timely decisions during these very challenging times of the Covid-19 pandemic.

This is the second time Mission CISD Information Systems has been the recipient of the Tyler Excellence Award. The first time was back in 2014 for launching online registration. Information Systems works diligently to ensure they provide an innovative, efficient, and relevant way of providing and collecting information for our stakeholders.
