COVID-19 testing options have changed in Mission area

Mission, Texas- The options for getting a COVID-19 test have changed in the Mission. The partnership that Mission Consolidated Independent School District (CISD) has with Curative resulted in the placement of a walk-up testing kiosk at Tom Landry Hall of Fame Stadium to serve the community. Due to the start of a construction project at the stadium, that testing kiosk has been relocated to the Mission CISD Annex located at 925 E. 9th Street in Mission. For those familiar with Mission, that is the old Lack’s building. The hours of operation for the Curative COVID-19 testing kiosk is Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.

The Mission area is also now the first in western Hidalgo County to be served by a Curative mobile COVID-19 testing unit. The specialized testing van will be available at various Mission CISD campuses.

To see if the testing kiosk or the mobile unit is your best option, go to www.curative.com. This not only allows you to pre-register for testing, but lists the Curative locations in the Mission area.

The tests administered by either the kiosk or the mobile unit are PCR oral swab tests that are actually completed by the patient, under the supervision of the Curative staff on site.
