Changes announced for Mission CISD weekly Curbside Meals Pick Up program

Mission, Texas- Mission Consolidated Independent School District (CISD) officials have announced a change in the schedule for the weekly Curbside Meals Pick Up program. Beginning this week, the distributions will take place on Thursdays, from 4:00-6:30 p.m. The pick up locations will remain the same. District officials also said, due to state rules, only 5 days of meals will be available for this week’s pick up and then return to the regular 7 meal distribution next week. 

The nine locations for the Curbside Meals Program are: Bryan Elementary School, Cantu Elementary School, Mims Elementary School, R. Cantu Jr. High School, Mission High School, Marcell Elementary School, Leal Elementary School, O’Grady Elementary School, Mission Collegiate High School. 

Any child, 18 years or younger qualifies for the free meals, regardless of where they go to school. If the child is not in the vehicle at the time of the meal pick up, some proof of the child’s age will be required. This can include: school ID card or ID number; school ID barcode with student’s name; report card; progress report; letter from a campus principal dated and on district letterhead; any printout from the Mission CISD Tyler Student System with the student’s name; birth certificate; any form of identification that has the child’s name and age. 

Meals are frozen, refrigerated, shelf stable, and fresh. Each child also receives 2 half gallons of milk with each meal bundle.
