The staff at O’Grady Elementary is excited to announce that they are the first Nearpod certified campus at Mission CISD. Every teacher at this campus has worked hard to obtain their certification for this platform.
“It is great to know that our teachers have one more tool in their toolbox to enhance student learning,” states Dr. Carol G. Perez, Superintendent. “This interactive platform allows for increased student engagement and participation for both our virtual and in person students.”
Nearpod is a great interactive learning tool for online and in classroom learning. It is a platform that allows students to engage and interactively learn. It also allows the teacher to instruct and virtually ask questions along the way. This platform is not only beneficial for virtual learning students but also for in person learning students.
“We are excited to be the first campus to have all teachers and non-teaching professionals receive their Nearpod certification, states Angelina V. Garcia, O’Grady Principal. “This speaks volumes of how our O’Grady staff has adapted to change during unprecedented times and done their part working both in person and virtually with students to make learning engaging.”
Nearpod boosts student participation with collaborative activities and formative assessments like virtual reality, polls, collaborative boards, and game-based quizzes. The students and staff at O'Grady Elementary are making the best out of virtual learning by using Nearpod to make learning fun and engaging.
