Mission High School High Flyers received a Superior Division I Rating for a video submission made to the 2021 Rio Grande Valley Dance Educators Contest. This is the first time in the dance team’s history they have earned straight 1’s in this competition for their jazz routine. The judges were impressed and gave them high marks. The elite team worked tirelessly with dedication and perseverance in a short period of time. Congratulations to the MHS High Flyers!
Participating students are as follows: Melanie Escamilla-1st Lieutenant, Rebekah Muñoz, Giselle Melendez, Andrea Gomez, Angel Vega- 2nd Captain, Catalina Nevarez- 1st Captain, Victoria Alvarez- Major, Natalie Muñoz, Alexa Arrevalo, and Adamari Morin. The dance team is under the direction of Josefina Flores and Isela Gomez.
