National School Boards Association selects Dr. Carol G. Perez for roundtable discussion

Mission, Texas- Mission Consolidated Independent School District superintendent, Dr. Carol G. Perez, has been invited to lend her expertise in a virtual roundtable discussion for the National School Boards Association (NSBA) in conjunction with ABM Industries Incorporated. The discussion is set for Tuesday, June 8th.

 

“This is a great opportunity that will allow us to do great things at Mission CISD which is what I am the most passionate about,” states Dr. Carol G. Perez, superintendent. “It provides a great platform for us to learn from other very successful superintendents from around the nation.”

 

The roundtable discussion will include between 15-20 of carefully selected peers that will provide input on the selected topic of The Value of Investing Outside of the Classroom and focusing on integrated technology to student support services. This is intended to be interactive and a two-way learning opportunity in the areas of non-instructional spend, how to spend your ESSA funds, and future spend: how to maintain funds.

 

According to Kathi Springer (NSBA), she states that Dr. Perez was specifically selected based on her reputation as a known expert in the field of K-12 and her tireless commitment to public education.

 

The National School Boards Association is a nonprofit educational organization operating as a federation of state associations of school boards across the United States. They were founded in 1940 and the organization represents state school boards associations and their more than 90,000 local school board members.
