The Region One Education Service Center (ESC) honors the exceptional educators in their region every August at a banquet. Last night was no exception and our District Elementary Teacher of the Year, Michelle Salazar and District Secondary Teacher of the Year, Cynthia E. Lopez were among the honorees.
These top educators were entered to represent Mission Consolidated Independent School District in the Regional Teacher of the Year program. Salazar is a 2nd grade teacher at Cavazos Elementary and Lopez is a math teacher at Mission Collegiate High School. Region One ESC Interim Executive Director Dr. Eduardo Cancino along with Board Chairperson Ms. Sonia A. Falcon presented the awards.
