Patriots take 1st place in the Texas Educational Color Guard competition

The Veterans Memorial High School (VMHS) Patriot Guard was ranked first in their division at the Texas Educational Color Guard competition on January 29. They were also awarded first place in movement, equipment, and overall general effect.  The competition was hosted at Valley View High School and the Patriot Guard was up against  groups from all over the Rio Grande Valley. They competed in the Novice White Division, which is the first step towards the TECA State Championship. The VMHS Band is incredibly proud of these students for representing VMHS and Mission CISD at such a high level.
