Veterans Memorial High School (VMHS) senior Ricky Reyna, the Patriots football quarterback, is headed to Southwestern University. He has officially signed his letter of intent to join the college football team as a quarterback and will be working extra hard to earn playing time on the field. The university scouts had been keeping an eye on him for a while with the intent of recruiting him to Southwestern and they were finally able to get him on board. He officially starts with the Pirates this fall and will also be pursuing a law enforcement degree while at the university. Ricky has plans to work as a State Trooper after college, but the ultimate goal is working as a Texas Ranger. Ricky is the son of Ricardo and Abby Reyna. The Reyna’s are very proud of Ricky and are also extremely grateful to everyone that has supported him throughout his high school years at VMHS.
