Mission High School Percussion Ensemble placed 1st at the Texas Color Guard Circuit (TCGC) Edinburg North HS contest. A total of seven high schools from the Rio Grande Valley competed in this contest. The MHS Percussion Ensemble will next travel to San Antonio to compete and will then possibly qualify for the TCGC Percussion Championships held at Reed Arena on the Texas A&M campus.
Percussion members are: Rudy Trevino, Ramiro Gonzalez, Kyan Rodrigues, Camila Marin, Nicolas Ortiz, Randy Sanchez, Gael Munoz, Aaron Ramos, Sergio Pena, Rafael Quintero, Vanessa Villegas, and Oziel Esparza. The Percussion Ensemble is under the direction of Sam Hjort, MHS Band Director.
