Six young ladies will be spending part of their spring break in Corpus Christi representing their high schools in state competition. They have qualified for the state Texas High School Women's Powerlifting Association State Competition to be held while most of us are enjoying Spring Break.
The Mission High School athletes are: Aleen Chavez, Brianna Marquez, Erika Guerrero.
The Veterans Memorial High School athletes are: Zayda Sanchez, Deseray Rodriguez, Mia Cantu.
