Veterans Memorial High School DECA member, Cole Butel, was named Texas DECA District 1st Vice President. Cole is the seventeenth Veterans Memorial Student who has served as a district officer since 2003. He will be serving the counties of Aransas, Bee, Brooks, Cameron, Dubal, Hidalgo, Jim Hogg, Jim Wells, Kenedy, Kleburg, LaSalle, Live Oak, McMullen, Nueces, Refugio, San Patricio, Starr, Webb and Zapata.
