Veterans Memorial High School student, Michelle De Leon, placed 2nd and is a State Qualifier for the Cosmetology SkillsUSA District 13 Competition hosted at VMHS. Schools from all over the Valley from Rio Grande City to Brownsville came to compete. She had to do a long hairstyle, 2 women's cuts, an interview and a written exam. The State Competition will be at the American Bank Center in Corpus Christi March 31-April 2.
