Ochoa is State Champion in three categories and team wins awards at TMSCA Meet

This past weekend, four Mission Collegiate High School Knights competed in the Texas Math and Science Coaches Association (TMSCA) High School Meet at University of Texas San Antonio on March 19, 2022. Ricardo Ochoa wins three State Champion accolades in Number Sense, Calculators, and Mathematics. He also won 5th place in the Science category. The team also brought home two 3rd place awards in Calculators and Mathematics. Team members are Garylee Nunez, Ricardo Ochoa, Adrian Heredia Ojeda, and Marin Cantu.

TMSCA is an organization formed by Texas math and science teachers to promote excellence in math and science through competition. The Results are as follows:


Number Sense:

Ricardo Ochoa (sophomore)- 1st Place State Champion

 

Calculators

Garylee Nunez (freshman)- 3rd Place
