The VMHS Patriot Color Guard competed against groups from all over South Texas this past Saturday, April 2nd at Lyndon B. Johnson High School in Laredo for the Texas Educational Color Guard Association (TECA) State Championships. The VMHS Patriot Color Guard represented VMHS with pride and grace. They earned 2nd place in their division. They were also awarded caption awards by the judges for “Best Design” and “Best Equipment.”
VMHS Band is incredibly proud of the students for representing the campus and Mission CISD at such a high level. Color Guard members are Sol Barreiro, Carolina Muñoz, Beatris Juarez, Autumn Gonzalez, Jaelynn Mendez, and Alexandra Gonzalez.
