Mission, Texas- The annual rankings are out, and for the eighth year in a row, Mission Collegiate High School (MCHS) has made the list of Best High Schools in America.
According to rankings of the Best High Schools in America by U.S. News and World Report, MCHS is ranked among the top 500 high schools in the country and #69 in the state of Texas.
“We could not be more proud of the students and staff at Mission Collegiate High School,” said Dr. Carol G. Perez, superintendent of schools. “They have built such a legacy there, and this is a wonderful reflection of their continuing hard work, and that excellence resides right here in Mission Consolidated Independent School District.”
U.S. News and World Report evaluated close to 24,000 public high schools. Rankings were based on: how schools did on state-required tests, graduation, and how well they prepare students for college. Six ranking indicators are used to produce the school’s overall score. They are: college readiness, Math and Reading proficiency, Math and Reading performance, underserved student performance, college curriculum breadth, and graduation rate.
