KWJH Calculator team members sweep event at first UIL Meet

Mission, Texas- Kenneth White Jr. High UIL Calculator Applications teams did a phenomenal job straight out of the gate in their first UIL Meet held at J.D. Salinas Middle School in La Joya. Members in the 6th, 7th, & 8th grades swept the competition, a term used when team members take all the top spots in their category. In this case all three grade levels took 1st through 5th place in  Calculators. In Mathematics, KWJH had several students in each of the grade levels place in the top 10 in this event.

 

Results are as follows:

Calculator (8th grade)- Juliet Suarez (1st), Eduardo Heredia (2nd), Abbie Canchola (3rd), Brandon Soliz (4th), Daniel Cardenas (5th), Galilea Hernandez (6th), and Marco Lopez (7th).

 

Calculator (7th grade)- Fredy Cortes (1st), Leila Morales (2nd), Natalie Salinas (3rd), Nathan Alvarado (4th), Lucas Garcia (5th), Sofia Urquizo (8th), Alondra Urquizo (9th), and Kailyn Flores (10th).

 

Calculator (6th grade)- Madison Luna (1st), Joel M. Trigo (2nd), Aracely Rodriguez (3rd), Lina Villarreal (4th), Karyme Jimenez (5th), and America Espinoza (9th).

 

Mathematics (8th grade)- Juliet Suarez (1st), Galilea Hernandez (2nd), Eduardo Heredia (6th), Brandon Soliz (8th), and Daniel Cardenas (9th).

 

Mathematics (7th grade)- Kailyn Flores (8th), and Leila Morales (9th).

 

Mathematics (6th grade)- Lina Villarreal (2nd), America Espinoza (9th), and Joel M. Trigo (10th).
