Mikaela says she is proud to be an anchor on the campus news team for the 2nd year in a row. She works hard on her grades and community service through National Junior Honor Society. Plus, she plays tennis, volleyball, runs cross country, and plans to add swimming this year. Mikaela plans to attend Texas A&M; continuing a tradition set by two of her sisters. She helps those around her with a servant’s heart and tries to encourage classmates regularly. She also thanks her teachers and coaches for their support. Mikaela is the daughter of Ronnie and Sonia Salinas.
