Lucas is proud of his results from the Cross Country South Regional Championship in South Carolina where he placed 20th, individually and the team placed third. Besides running cross country, he is also active in basketball, football, baseball, and soccer. Academically, he is involved in UIL Math and Calculators, and is a member of the National Junior Honor Society. Lucas is hoping to attend the University of Texas to study Mechanical Engineering and participate on their basketball team. Lucas is known as a well-rounded and hard-working student who treats his peers with respect and kindness. He says he is able to stay on track with the support of his parents, Amador and Liza Garcia.
