Mission, Texas - Veterans Memorial High School soccer player, Zahid Sanchez just signed a letter of Intent to play soccer at the collegiate level. He will be headed to Missouri Valley College to become a member of the Viking men's soccer team.

Sanchez will start his training this fall and will be concentrating his academic efforts on becoming a physical therapist.

“First off, I would like to thank my parents because, without them, I don’t know where I would be right now,” states Sanchez. “They taught me everything I know and I’m so grateful to have them in my life.”

Coach Kenan Nuñez shares his experience coaching Zahid, as well as his sister. He has known the Sanchez family for over 10 years.

The Sanchez family is all about soccer, they are a soccer family,” shares Coach Nuñez. “Besides soccer, he’s an amazing kid. He was a student of mine for Algebra II, always an A honor roll student. He’s going to be successful in life, and in soccer.”

Sanchez shares that he is most excited about experiencing snow in Marshall, Missouri.
