Mission CISD celebrates national recognitions for Capturing Kids Hearts Program

MISSION, TX – (May 9, 2024) - Mission Consolidated Independent School District (CISD) has been recognized as a 2023-2024 Capturing Kids' Hearts National Showcase School District award winner. In addition to the district award, 19 Mission CISD campuses have once again been honored with the Capturing Kids Hearts National Showcase recognition as well. 

 

This acknowledgment underscores the district's commitment to fostering a nurturing and supportive environment for its students.

 

The Capturing Kids Hearts program, renowned for its experiential training, expert coaching, and character-based curriculum, aims to equip K-12 education professionals with transformative tools focused on social-emotional wellbeing, relationship-building, and student connectedness. 

 

Through personalized support and a dedicated approach, the program empowers educators to create a culture of positivity and inclusivity within their schools according to their website.

Dr. Carol G. Perez, Superintendent of Schools for Mission CISD, expressed her gratitude for this recognition, emphasizing its significance for both the schools and the district as a whole.
