MISSION, TEXAS (June 16, 2024) - Mission CISD is proud to announce that Carlos R. Garcia, the district's Fine Arts Director, has been selected to join the University Interscholastic League (UIL) Region XV Executive Committee for the 2024-2025 academic year.
This prestigious role connects him with esteemed school administrators throughout the Rio Grande Valley.
Garcia expressed his excitement stating, "I am thrilled to contribute to shaping the future of music competitions and events in our region."
According to uiltexas.org, District executive committees are composed of one school administrator from each school in a UIL district. These committees exemplify grassroots control at its best. They arrange contest schedules and certify district representatives for the next level of competition. They administer and enforce the rules and settle disputes within a district. They have original jurisdiction over all eligibility questions within the district.
