MISSION, TEXAS (June 16, 2024) - Mission CISD celebrates Benny Garza, a member of Mission High School's FFA, for achieving Texas FFA State Finalist status in the Jr. Prepared Public Speaking Events with his speech titled "Food Waste."
Benny achieved 7th place at the Texas FFA Speaking Development Events Semi-Finals.
His journey to the state competition began with a 1st place win at the Citrus Valley District FFA Contest. He then advanced to the Area X Speaking Development Events, securing 2nd place and earning a spot in the state semi-finals.
The State Finals were held at Tarleton State University in Stephenville, TX on June 7-8.
