MISSION, TEXAS (August 2, 2024) - The Mission Consolidated Independent School District (MCISD) Purchasing Department announced that it has received the Achievement of Excellence in Procurement (AEP) Award for the second consecutive year. This recognition is awarded to organizations that demonstrate outstanding excellence in public procurement, showcasing innovation, professionalism, productivity, e-procurement, and leadership.
The AEP Award acknowledges the practical, documented work of organizations and their leadership contributions that advance the public procurement profession. Mission CISD's programs and solutions have consistently met and exceeded these criteria, setting a high standard of achievement.
"This award is a testament to the unwavering commitment and dedication of our procurement team at Mission CISD. Their hard work, innovation, and exceptional leadership have allowed us to excel in our procurement practices," said Joel Garcia, Deputy Superintendent for Business and Support Services at Mission CISD. "We are truly honored to be recognized alongside other distinguished organizations in the public procurement profession."
The procurement departments of cities, counties, and universities were also among the recipients of this esteemed award.
The recognition of Mission CISD with the AEP Award reflects positively on the entire District and underscores its ongoing dedication to providing excellence in education and community service. This award further solidifies Mission CISD's position as a leader in public procurement, setting a high benchmark for other organizations to strive for.
