Mission CISD FFA Students Herd in the Wins at Diamondback Showdown and RGV Hill Country Roundup

MISSION, TEXAS (October 25, 2025) – Mission CISD is proud to announce the impressive accomplishments of our Future Farmers of America (FFA) students, who recently showcased their skills and brought home multiple wins at the Diamondback Showdown and RGV Hill County Round Up. The hard work and dedication of our students continue to highlight the strength and excellence of the district's FFA program.

At the Diamondback Showdown, Mission CISD students delivered outstanding performances in both goat and lamb competitions, earning top placements:

  • Goats:

o               Jadon Guerrero – 1st in Class

o               Adrian Ramirez – 1st in Class

o               Samara Martinez – 1st in Class

o               Samantha Cardona – 1st in Class

o               Olivia Lopez – 2nd in Class

  • Lambs:

o               Isaiah Salinas – 1st in Class

o               Adrian Ramirez – 4th in Class

o               Chloe Deleon – 5th in Class

Additionally, students from Marcell Elementary delivered impressive results at the RGV Hill County Round Up:

  • Madilynn Moreno:

o               1st Place – Medium Wool

o               3rd Place – Showmanship

  • David Ramirez:

o               1st in Class & Reserve Breed Champion (Lamb - Buttercup)

o               Top 3 in Showmanship (Goat - Electric)

o               4th in Class

 

Mission CISD Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Cris Valdez expressed her pride in the students’ accomplishments.

 “I am incredibly proud of our FFA students and their outstanding mentors,” she said. “Their hard work, commitment, and perseverance have shone brightly at these events. These achievements are a testament to their dedication and the strong foundation our educators provide. Our students continue to demonstrate the excellence that defines Mission CISD, and I’m excited to see how far they will go in the future.”
