MISSION, TEXAS (December 11, 2024) – Mission Collegiate High School senior Jorge Barba has achieved a significant milestone, earning a full college scholarship through the QuestBridge National College Match Scholarship Program.
QuestBridge connects high-achieving students with prestigious colleges and universities, providing life-changing educational, career, and personal growth opportunities. The program is highly selective, matching students with partner colleges that meet their unique talents and aspirations.

There are no words to describe my gratefulness for this incredible opportunity and the fact that I can attend such an amazing school like the College of The Holy Cross without having to incur any debts,” said Barba. “I have to thank my family and friends for pushing me to where I am today and for their constant encouragement.”
Barba has been matched with the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts, where he will attend on a full, four-year scholarship. This award covers tuition, room and board, books, and additional fees, ensuring he can focus entirely on his studies and college experience. Holy Cross, recognized for its academic rigor and vibrant campus community, has an acceptance rate of just 21%, according to U.S. News & World Report.
