Mission CISD welcomes Cynthia Wilson as Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction

MISSION, TEXAS (December 20, 2024) - Mission Consolidated Independent School District (CISD) is pleased to announce the appointment of Cynthia Wilson as the new Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction. With 28 years of experience in education, including 11 years with Mission CISD, Wilson brings a wealth of expertise and a strong commitment to fostering academic excellence. 

Wilson’s distinguished career includes serving as a middle school teacher, assistant principal, and junior high and high school principal. She joined Mission CISD as the Executive Director for Secondary Education and later served as the Executive Director for PK-12th Grade education, where she led initiatives to enhance student achievement across all grade levels. 

Wilson holds a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies and a Master of Education and is currently pursuing a doctoral degree from Texas A&M University-Kingsville. Her certifications include a Texas Superintendent Certificate, Texas Mid-Management Certificate, and teaching certifications in Elementary Self-Contained and Early Childhood Education. 

In her new role, Wilson aims to create a culture of excellence and innovation, empower educators with the tools for success, and foster an environment where students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
