AMJH student work on display at IMAS Christmas Tree Forest

The holiday creativity of students at Alton Memorial Jr. High School (AMJH) is on display at the International Museum of Art and Science (IMAS) in McAllen, Texas. The students are participating in the IMAS Annual Christmas Tree Forest.  The theme this year is A Green Christmas. All ornaments for the trees had to be made from recycled materials. Students got quite creative in their use of materials which include chip bags, juice boxes, cereal bowls, and more.

Students who help create the tree decoration included: National Jr. Honor Society, English as a Second Language (ESL), and UIL .

The trees will be on display at IMAS through January 3, 2014. IMAS is located at 1900 Nolana, in McAllen.  The Christmas Tree Forest is project of the IMAS Guild. More information about IMAS and the forest is available online, http://www.imasonline.org/dev/.

Pictured are some of the AMJH students as they decorated their assigned tree in the forest: Perla Perez, Emily Barragan, Ruby Salazar.
