Their record for the season is 42-1. No other VMHS volleyball team has had a record that good before. Plus, no other previous VMHS volleyball team has spent the entire season ranked first in the state. Another first came when the team made the top 25 in national rankings. They finished the season ranked #11 in the nation.
The VMHS Lady Patriots are district champions, bi-district champions, area champions, and regional quarter-final champions.
Team members are: Alexandra Jimenez, Gabrielle Lerma, Valeria Osorio, Kassandra Lopez, Adela Parras, Shania Gilpin, Darian Ibarra, Karina Garcia, Isela Rodriguez, Mariah Gonzalez, Laura Cantu, Daisy Reyna. They were led by head coach Diana Lerma and assistant coach Vivian Ray.
