Two Mission High School (MHS) seniors have been named as 2014 Exemplary Migrant Students by The University of Texas at Austin Migrant Student Graduation Enhancement Program. Christian Flores and Anibal Pena will be honored, along with 38 other migrant students in the state during a special ceremony on March 31 at the UT campus.
Flores and Pena are currently in the top ten percent of their senior class and plan to pursue degrees in engineering at The University of Texas Pan American.
The University of Texas at Austin Migrant Student Graduation Enhancement Program mission is to help Texas migrant students graduate from high school by providing opportunities to earn credit without the limitations of time or distance.
