On Saturday, March 1, 69 fifth grade students from O’Grady Elementary School stepped off a bus, and onto the campus of The University of Texas in Austin (UT-Austin). The students participated in Explore UT: The Biggest Open House in Texas. The Explore UT program features performances, exhibits, lectures, and activities all over the UT-Austin campus. Students got a glimpse of university life, a look into the learning and discovery found in university classrooms, laboratories, studios, and performance halls. The students also had the opportunity to visit campus museums and libraries.
This is the second year O’Grady Elementary has taken students to this Explore UT event. Pictured are some of the O’Grady students as they gathered for a quick picture with some of the UT cheerleaders and the university mascot.
