Among the many changes that will be coming to Tom Landry Stadium, is a statue to represent Veterans Memorial High School. This is a recent picture of the uncompleted statue in the artist’s workshop. Once completed, it will be raised atop a cement column in the stadium. The finished product will be similar in size to the Eagle that has long represented Mission High School.
Other changes that will be seen in time for this fall’s football season will include a new artificial turf field, and a new track. Other stadium improvements are still in the planning stages.
