MHS cosmetology students earn top spots at state competition

                The Mission High School (MHS) cosmetology program had quite a few students who not only qualified for state competition this year; but many of them came back with top honors.

                Earning first place for day and evening hairstyling were: Stephanie Cardoza, Nancy Elguezabal, Alexis Flores, Estrella Moreno, Flor Ponce, Jessica Rodriguez, Priscilla Martinez.

                Maritza Salazar earned first place in permanent waiving.

                Earning first place in fantasy hairstyling were: Maria Galicia, Marla Garza.

                Earning first place for photo panels were: Jennifer Barrera, Cristal Sanchez, Lucero Vasquez

                Stephanie Galloway and Celeste Munoz earned a second place for nail art.

                The team of Karely Garcia, Ashley Venegas, and Angelica Zavala earned second place for their innovative project.
